The SHMS Telephone Interface (TI) is an extremely low-cost
revenue center sold optionally with SHMS. Without this
interface, guest telephone charges must he posted manually to the
guest folio. Not only is this very time consuming to process
these entries manually, but transactions may be posted
incorrectly, late or not at all. The TI eliminates the need for
any manual posting of telephone calls to guest folios.
The TI post charges to guest folios for local, long distance and
operator assisted calls. Calls posted to folios show date, time,
duration, and number called.
