With progressive scanning, capturing stills during camera movement will not degrade the image, providing high detail, still captures on DVRs and other recording devices. The Sony zoom module also provides WDR for auto compensation during varying lighting scenes and is the best quality zoom camera on the market today. Pan speeds operating as fast as 300º/second, tilt 120º/second ensure effective coverage using the camera’s 6 customizable tour modes.
The aluminum cast structure, IP 66 weatherproof rated housing includes a built-in heater/blower assembly facilitating harsh winter environments. The modular design guarantees efficient installation and service. The on-screen programming is very intuitive, allowing easy camera configuration and preset designation.
Night operation can be configured allowing the camera to display color by day and black/white at night for excellent low light performance. Digital Slow Shutter (DSS) is also employed during low light providing very good night performance.
Ordinary color cameras feature a fixed IR cut filter for clear color images in daylight conditions however, this ptz is equipped with a removable IR cut filter. Under very low light conditions, the IR cut filter is automatically turned off to deliver brighter images than other color video cameras do. Infrared illuminators can also be used for zero lux applications as the module is IR sensitive.
The camera also features programmable white balance, backlight compensation, auto- home feature, auto-flip, 4 alarm inputs, multi-protocol support and much more. Sony’s EIS (Electronic Image Stabilizer) function automatically eliminates blurry, jumpy images providing very crisp, easy-to-view images.
The Sony zoom module provides 18X optical zoom offering facial recognition at distances of over 400 feet.
